Haeundae Paik Hospital Selected for Resident Training Environment Innovation Support Program
Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital has recently been selected as a participating hospital in the 2026 Resident Training Environment Innovation Support Program. This marks the second consecutive year the hospital has been chosen for this program, following its selection last year. This national initiative aims to improve the hospital's training environment and support residents in growing within a safer and more systematic setting, which will significantly contribute to enhancing the quality of resident education.
Creating Spaces for Resident Education and Relaxation
Through this program, Haeundae Paik Hospital has established the 'Intern Irumteo' and 'Intern Didimteo', intern training support centers that provide spaces for resident education and relaxation. These spaces, which opened in March of this year, play a crucial role in helping residents train more effectively. The facilities offer a cozy environment where residents can focus on their education and take much-needed breaks.
Expanding the Resident Support System
Building on its operational experience, Haeundae Paik Hospital plans to implement various programs this year. Specifically, these include:
- Enhancing the resident curriculum
- Developing and operating educational content
- Strengthening the training and supervision capabilities of attending physicians
- Expanding the resident support system
- Implementing programs to improve the training environment
These programs are expected to contribute to residents developing higher clinical competencies and increasing their satisfaction with their training. Haeundae Paik Hospital is committed to continuously refining its educational infrastructure and quality management systems to ensure residents receive training in the best possible environment.
Commitment to Resident Safety and Growth
Kim Kyung-mi, head of the Education and Training Department, stated regarding the program selection, "The educational foundation and operational achievements built last year have led to our selection for the program for two consecutive years." She emphasized the hospital's commitment to strengthening educational and welfare support to ensure residents can learn and grow sufficiently in a safe environment. This serves as a prime example of Haeundae Paik Hospital's dedication to creating a robust system for resident training.
We look forward to Haeundae Paik Hospital's continued efforts to support residents' growth in a better environment. Such advancements are expected to positively impact the future development of the medical field.
