Hello everyone! Today, I want to talk about the importance of sharing life and organ donation. Recently, at a volunteer launch event held at Busan Station, many people gathered, reaffirming the value and necessity of organ donation. Shall we dive into the scene?

The Beginning of a Campaign for Life Sharing

A total of 35 people, including students, young adults, and parents, gathered for this event organized by the Korea Organ Donation Association. They held a launch ceremony to fulfill their responsibilities as 'Pure Organ Donation Supporters for Life Sharing.' They pledged to help terminally ill patients recover and contribute to medical research through the promotion of organ and human tissue donation.

Special Moments of the Day

At the launch ceremony, Kim Yoon-a, the director of Siseokneun Munhwa (a cultural organization), deeply moved the attendees by reciting the poem "I Will Live Forever." Chairman Kang Chi-young emphasized, "Organ donation has now become the spirit of our times." Thus, organ donation is becoming a crucial factor that transforms our societal values, going beyond simple charity.

History and Vision of the Organ Donation Movement

Goshin University President Lee Jung-ki mentioned, "The organ donation movement that Dr. Jang Gi-ryeo, the founder of Goshin University Gospel Hospital, started here in Busan has now blossomed into a spirit of life respect and sharing." This serves as a great example of how the culture of organ donation is taking root in the Busan region. Furthermore, Busan Metropolitan Council Member Kim Jae-woon stated, "Through the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education's project promoting life respect and love among students, we hope to prevent suicides and transform Busan into a city of service and sharing."

The Volunteers' Pledge

The volunteers pledged on this day, stating, "We will respect and love life. We will properly promote the noble values of life sharing and organ donation. We will participate in preventing suicides and saving lives through small actions and sharing." They continued the life-sharing and life-respect campaign around Busan Station, accompanied by a congratulatory performance by rapper Park Han-gyeol (a posthumous organ donor pledgee).
