The History of H+ Yangji Hospital, Gwanak-gu's Mid-Century Hospital

The origins of H+ Yangji Hospital trace back to 1976. It began as a small clinic opened by Dr. Ranhee Kim, an obstetrician and gynecologist, at Sinlim Sageori in Gwanak-gu. Later, she and her husband, Dr. Cheolsu Kim, an internist, started practicing under the name Dr. Cheolsu Kim Internal Medicine & Dr. Ranhee Kim Obstetrics & Gynecology. In 1980, it was renamed Yangji Hospital, and the hospital laid its foundation by expanding its departments and bed capacity.

Building Trust with the Local Community

Currently, H+ Yangji Hospital serves its role as a regional hub hospital. Hospital Director Sangil Kim believes that earning the trust of local residents is the most crucial mission, and he is dedicated to enhancing the quality of hospital services. By increasing investment in medical staff, facilities, and equipment, and undergoing a renovation of the main building, the hospital rebranded itself as 'H+ Yangji Hospital,' aspiring for a second leap forward.

Medical Innovation and International Care

During the COVID-19 pandemic, H+ Yangji Hospital emerged as a leader in K-Quarantine by developing the world's first walk-through screening clinic. The hospital is also elevating the quality of its medical services by adopting innovative technologies such as AI-assisted colonoscopy. H+ International Hospital has established itself as a medical institution for foreign patients from 130 countries.

Future Vision and Responsibility to the Community

H+ Yangji Hospital is solidifying its position as an Asian hub hospital by establishing the H+ International Medical Center in Hanoi, Vietnam. Director Kim stated, "I hope residents remember us as a hospital they can trust and visit nearby," and plans to offer comprehensive medical services encompassing not only diagnosis and surgery but also recovery, rehabilitation, long-term care, and research.
