6 Ways to Use Eggshells and Their Benefits

Don't Toss Those Eggshells, Put Them to Good Use!

6 Ways to Use Eggshells, Useful Tips for Everyday Life

Today, I'm going to share 6 ways to use eggshells. Many people enjoy eating nutrient-rich eggs, but the shells are often just thrown away as trash. But did you know that eggshells have surprisingly diverse uses? How about we stop throwing them away and start using them in our daily lives?

1. Cleaning Narrow-Necked Bottles

The first use I'll introduce is for cleaning narrow-necked bottles or containers. Crush eggshells finely in a blender, mix them with water, pour the mixture into the container, and shake vigorously. This method not only cleans the inside of the bottle thoroughly but also cleans the blender blades simultaneously, offering a win-win effect.

2. Excellent Natural Bleach

The second way to use eggshells is as a bleach. Place crushed eggshells in a tea bag, seal it, and add it when boiling laundry or to water mixed with detergent for a bleaching effect. It's especially useful for washing white clothes.

3. Enhancing Your Coffee Brew

Third, you can use eggshells when brewing coffee. Mixing powdered eggshells with your coffee grounds before brewing can make your coffee taste smoother and reduce its acidity, resulting in a more delicious cup.

4. Pest Repellent Properties

The fourth use is for pest control. Sprinkle finely ground eggshells evenly around your houseplants where pests tend to gather. This is an eco-friendly way to protect your plants and deter insects.

5. For Skin Care

Fifth, eggshells can be used for skin care. The inner membrane of eggshells contains nutrients like hyaluronic acid, which helps alleviate skin dryness and provides excellent moisturizing effects. Wrap the thin membrane from the inside of an eggshell around dry cuticles for a moisturizing boost.

6. Effective for Exfoliation

Lastly, eggshells can be used for exfoliation. Crush eggshells finely, mix them with one egg white to create a foam, apply it to your face, and rinse with lukewarm water once it dries. The eggshells act as an exfoliant, sloughing off dead skin cells and helping to even out your skin tone.

There are countless other ways to use eggshells beyond these. Don't throw them away; incorporate them into your daily life as a little hack. Wishing you a healthy and happy life!
